Honoured as the Best HR Team (SME) and winning first place in the Excellence in Workforce Flexibility category and second place in the Excellence in Cross-Generational Workforce Engagement category, these achievements are meaningful to the Great Eastern Takaful workforce.

Under the category of Family Takaful Individual Business, GETB was awarded with Top Agency Manager Group and Quality Business Award (leader) while under the category of Family Takaful Group Business, GETB cinched 2 awards which are the Top Group Business Producer (Individual Agent/Sole Proprietor) and Top Group Corporate Agency beside 3 awards under the special award category which are the Member Companies Top Agency/Agent/Intermediaries, Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful Award, and the Rising Takaful Leader Awards

Great Eastern Takaful bagged the Most Valuable Brand – Takaful Solutions by the BrandLaureate BestBrands Awards 2022/2023.

The BrandLaureate Awards that was launched in 2006 has become the most prestigious and coveted branding awards in the world. The award identifies the outstanding brands on an international platform and communicate the value of branding that will give brands the edge in the competitive environment.

Great Eastern Takaful was awarded the Malaysia’s Best Takaful Provider by the Global Business Outlook Awards 2022.

The Award seeks to recognise and reward excellence in businesses around the world which designed to facilitate the outstanding work of businesses and business leaders across industries. The recipients are evaluated and testified on the work of a myriad businesses in terms of performance, innovation and drive to create industry value.

Great Eastern Takaful won The BrandLaureate World Halal BestBrands e-Branding Awards 2021 - Brand of the Year - Takaful Solutions.

Brand of the Year award recipients are evaluated on innovation in product development, relevance in the Shariah compliant industry, engagement with the customer base and ability to impact communities through product and service offerings.

Great Eastern Takaful Berhad has been named the recipient of the Most Valuable Brand – Takaful Solutions under the prestigious BrandLaureate Awards 2020 that recognises and rewards innovation, inspiration and integrity. Most Valuable Brand recipients are evaluated on brand strategy, brand culture, integrated brand communications, brand equity and brand performance.

Great Eastern Takaful Berhad has been named the recipient of CSR Initiative of the Year  - Malaysia under the prestigious Insurance Asia Awards 2020, which sets the highest criteria for its awardees, benchmarking companies and projects on uniqueness, innovation, effectiveness, impact and dynamism.

The award holds special meaning to Great Eastern Takaful, given that the core purpose of takaful is to band together to help those in need. Among the key projects undertaken for the community of 400 villagers since 2018 were the installation of solar and water purification systems, women and children empowerment through skills-building initiatives as well as community farming.

Abir Abdul Rahim, Head of Digital Affinity, won the Young Takaful Manager recognition, making it a second win for a Great Eastern Takaful employee. The MTA’s (Malaysian Takaful Association) stringent criteria to confer the recognition included contributing positively to the company and takaful industry and actively promoting the takaful awareness agenda.

Nurul Sheila Khalib, Head of Product Development, was the recipient of the prestigious Young Takaful Manager Award by MTA (Malaysian Takaful Association), which lists being innovative and creative in implementing company initiatives and managing business as well as teams among its stringent criteria. She was promoted as Head of Product and Marketing in October 2019.

We won Insurance Asia’s ‘Insurance Initiative of the Year’ award for i-Gr8 Harapan and one of the winning attributes is that it provides affordable coverage to Malaysians. 

Just as we are about to celebrate our 8th year anniversary, we were awarded with the Fastest Growing Takaful Operator in Malaysia for 2018 by the International Finance Awards.

The International Finance Awards is a platform that recognises industry talent, leadership skills, industry net worth and capability globally which is organised by International Finance; a premium and business analysis publication in United Kingdom.

In 2013, we were awarded the Best Takaful Operator (Asia) for our world-class shariah-compliant financial and protection solutions. This was the third consecutive year that we had been affiliated with the Islamic Business & Finance Awards, which continues to be one of the most prestigious awards in the Gulf finance industry.

Two years after our formation in December 2010, the Islamic Business & Finance Awards recognised us once again, this time as the Best New Islamic Institution in 2012.

2012 marked the seventh year that the Islamic Business & Finance Awards was organised to recognise, encourage, and reward exceptional performance and growth of the international Islamic business and finance community.

Less than a year after we were founded in December 2010, we were recognised by the Islamic Business & Finance Awards as the Best New Takaful Operator in 2011.

The Islamic Business & Finance Awards is one of the most esteemed in the Gulf finance industry. For a young company to be recognised so early was a huge honour.
